Een ode aan de vogel (2025)
In my photographic work, wonder takes center stage. From a fascination with birds, their fleeting presence and elusiveness, I invite you to look again. To notice the ordinary and the obvious, which, upon closer inspection, turn out to be anything but.
For me, wonder is the first step toward reconnecting with nature. That connection, in turn, is essential if we are to care for and pay attention to biodiversity, a need that feels more urgent than ever.
The images that emerge from this process balance on the edge of recognition and abstraction. Blur plays a key role, not as a flaw, but as a way to make space for interpretation, emotion and imagination.
I invite you to slow down. To look again at what seems familiar and to rediscover your sense of wonder.
